Happy new year, happy new buzzwords. First the term parity is a container for things which we in the past described as cloud native like capability. Something which not describe the abstraction itself, but the replaceability of the abstracted thing e.g. you can run it on platform A equal to platform B or the real hardware by its simulated (i.e. QEMU based) parity. Having this achieved the co-design gets enabled. A co-design allowing e.g. to evolve hardware in parallel to software and twice versa. One example is the evolution of available computational (CPU) cores. The software can better execute work units in parallel, what also increase (software design) complexity, leading to advanced tests, leading to better test ability while CICD etc.
